The Mercia EIS Fund invests into sectors where businesses have high growth potential and modest capital requirements. It can provide support for businesses from seed rounds of £100,000, up to larger funding rounds of up to £2m and then up to £10m at later stages. The fund has a target portfolio size of around 15 companies and the minimum investment is £25,000. Mercia aims to triple invested capital, over a 5 to 7 year period.

About Mercia Asset Management

Mercia is a specialist asset manager with a regional focus. It started up in the early 1980s, and offers venture, private equity and debt capital to help management teams in high-growth, technology SMEs to scale their business.

Mercia has developed collaborative relationships with 19 universities across the UK, including Keele, Warwick and Strathclyde. Twenty percent of its investment activity stems from these relationships.
